Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Hacienda Heights seeks Direct Support Professionals I & II to support adults with developmental disabilities in daily living, promoting independence, safety, and personal growth in a one-location, on-site setting.

You will assist with hygiene, meals, routines, and transportation as needed. The position offers full-time PM shifts with competitive pay and requires CPR/First Aid certification and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid.
• Experience: 1 year supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs.
• Support clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clothing/undergarments when necessary.
• Prepare meals and complete cleanup.
• Follow daily routines outlined in the IPP.
• Redirect behaviors through activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks.
• Provide safe transportation in company vans when required.

• Job Title: Direct Support Professional I & II

• Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 / hr with Verified Certificates.

• Shifts: Full -Time PM Shifts 2 PM to 10 AM (Tues - Sat & Frid - Mon)

• Location: Hacienda Heights

• Work Setting: One Location (Not Remote)

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional I & II, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs
• Supporting clients with bathroom needs
• Changing clothing/undergarments when necessary

• Following daily routines outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
• Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks
• Providing safe transportation in company vans when required

Every day, you’ll help create a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for the individuals you serve.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid

• Experience:

  • 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) strongly preferred

• Driving Requirements:

  • Valid in-state driver’s license
  • Must be 21+
  • Current registration & insurance
  • Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
