Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional I to deliver person-centered supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting quality of life, health, safety and well-being.

You will implement daily routines, assist with personal care and meals, and, when needed, transport clients in company vans. Must have a DSP certificate (Years 1–2 preferred), First Aid/CPR, CPI, be 21+, hold a CA driver’s license, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 or 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
• First Aid / CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) are required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients (visual and active) as written in the Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $18.50 / hr. DOE and Certifications

Shifts Needed: Monday - Sunday PM shift

Job Status: Full Time shifts available

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life. The Direct Support Professionals promotes the health, safety and well-being of residents. A Direct Support Professionals serves as an advocate for our clients.
