Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in La Puente, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional II to support adults with developmental disabilities on full-time NOC shifts (Tue–Sat). The role offers an hourly rate of $20.00–$22.00 with verified certificates.

You will assist with daily living needs, promote independence, and help clients achieve health and personal growth in a structured, safe environment. Background checks and health screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid.
• Experience: 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily living activities for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Supporting independence, health, and personal growth.
• Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs.
• Supporting clients with bathroom needs.
• Changing clothing/undergarments when necessary.
• Preparing meals and completing cleanup.
• Following daily routines outlined in the IPP.
• Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks.
• Providing safe transportation in company vans when required.

• Shifts: Full -Time NOC Shifts 10 PM to 6 AM (Tues - Sat)

• Work Setting: One Location (Not Remote)

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional II, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth.

Your responsibilities include:

• Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks

• Providing safe transportation in company vans when required

Every day, you’ll help create a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for the individuals you serve.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid

• Experience:

  • 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) strongly preferred

• Driving Requirements:

  • Valid in-state driver’s license

  • Must be 21+

  • Current registration & insurance

  • Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
