Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide person-centered care in residential settings. You will build relationships, assist with daily living activities, and help clients pursue their goals.

No prior experience is required; training is provided. The role offers starting pay at $18.00 per hour, with a potential raise after six months, and opportunities to grow within a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

Looking for a job where you can make a real difference every day? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you’ll support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person‑centered care.

Pay:

• $18.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $18.50/hr!

Shifts:

• S/S 7-3, T/Th/F 7-3; T/W/Th/F 7-3
• F 7-3, S/S 7am-11pm

What You’ll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and well‑being and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings

Work Environment:

• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
• Collaborative, mission‑driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion
