Job summary

LSS is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help people with identified needs pursue their hopes and goals through person-centered care. You will build relationships, provide daily living support, and advocate for residents in a residential group home setting with up to 4 people.

We offer paid orientation, ongoing training, and a supportive, inclusive team culture that values dignity and respect for all.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required; training provided.
• Ability to read and write in English to ensure clear communication.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance and support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, meals, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for rights, needs, and preferences of people served.
• Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs.
• Collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Looking for a job where you can make a real difference every day? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you'll support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person‑centered care.

Pay:

• $18.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $18.50/hr!

Shifts:

• S/S 7-3, T/Th/F 7-3; T/W/Th/F 7-3
• F 7-3, S/S 7am-11pm

What You'll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and well‑being and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
• Collaborative, mission‑driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion
