Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Receiving associate to manage inbound shipments, check invoices, and maintain accurate inventory records while supporting store operations. You will help protect assets and support daily tasks with meticulous receiving practices.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, able to operate a pallet jack, and comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays. This role requires teamwork, safety awareness, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• DSD Receiving certification required (obtains through Company LEARN program).

Responsibilities

• Receives direct-store-delivery products; checks invoices, resolves discrepancies, and protects assets.
• Reduces shrink by securing credits for damaged/expired items.
• Checks trucks, unloads, and ensures inventory accuracy.
• Monitors vendor activity; advises on shelving and backroom cleanup.
• Advises managers on vendor/product issues.
• Monitors inventory levels and reports supply/demand gaps.
• Assists in IMS inventory tasks and performs counts.
• Prepares store for inventory service counts.
• Maintains back room per 5S standards.
• Provides friendly, service-oriented customer support.
• Keeps workspace clean, safe, and compliant with procedures.
