Job summary

Food Lion Bel Air in Maryland is seeking a Store Associate/Receiving Clerk to support Direct Store Delivery receiving, cashiering and stocking, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety and company policies.

You will work with vendors, maintain inventory accuracy using ACIS/CAO tools, and provide fast, friendly service while upholding Food Lion standards and regulations. Training will include CBT and safety procedures; you’ll wear the uniform and participate in ongoing performance standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Protect company assets through proper receipt and return of DSD product.
• Demonstrate and execute vendor receiving policies.
• Work with vendors to resolve policy violations or excessive inventory.
• Coordinate with the Store Manager to ensure timely promotions by vendors.
• Ensure weekly merchandising notes are implemented on time.
• Verify DSD plan-o-grams are accurate and up-to-date.
• Account for daily/weekly DSD tickets and invoices; file properly.
• Check EDI invoices for outstanding items.
• Handle reclaim and damages.
• Conduct CAO stocking and cigarette rotation as required.
• Use ACIS and CAO tools correctly and safely.
• Follow all Food Lion safety guidelines and dress code.
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
