Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Diego, CA, seeks an Experienced Estimator to prepare detailed SPO drywall estimates from drawings and specs and to communicate bids and scopes of work to the project team. You will develop labor productivity rates, solicit competitive vendor pricing, assemble bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts, and lead document management.

Candidates should have 3+ years in drywall estimating, a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience for drywall or related trades.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed SPO drywall estimates from drawings and specs and communicate bids and scopes of work.
• Generate labor productivity rates in coordination with historical data and project constraints.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to solicit competitive pricing.
• Prepare and assemble drywall bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Identify design issues and project risks and propose solutions with Preconstruction.
• Analyze SPO drywall project schedules for sequencing risk and prepare labor-loaded schedules.
• Lead document management for SPO drywall projects and distribute to stakeholders.
• Attend constructability reviews and support communication with project team and designers.
• Develop SPO drywall value analysis studies for cost-efficient alternatives.
• Prepare scope requisitions and coordinate to identify gaps and overlaps.
• Manage Post Bid actions and provide recommendations to Procurement.
• Prepare project kickoff and hand off to operations teams.
