Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Experienced Estimator for SPO drywall on San Diego projects. You will prepare detailed drywall estimates from drawings and specs, analyze schedules, and lead bid development for various contract types.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience in drywall, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to coordinate with Preconstruction. On-site work in San Diego with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of detailed estimates experience for drywall and related trades.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.
• Knowledge of construction methods and trade practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SPO drywall estimates from drawings and specs.
• Generate labor productivity rates using historical data.
• Develop vendor relationships for competitive pricing.
• Prepare drywall bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus.
• Identify design issues and risks; propose solutions with Preconstruction.
• Analyze project schedules for sequencing risk and labor loading.
• Maintain document control for SPO drywall projects.
• Lead kickoff meetings and support project operations.
• May supervise estimating team and participate in recruiting.
• Other duties as assigned.
