Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Drywall / Framing Assistant Project Manager to support self-perform drywall and framing projects in Huntsville, AL. The role partners with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to coordinate schedules, labor, procurement, and progress documentation while ensuring safety and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in construction management with familiarity in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and project cost tracking.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in construction management, preferably commercial/industrial/federal.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or self-perform construction strongly preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, plans, and project documents; budget/schedule knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and maintain project plans, drawings, and specs.
• Maintain submittal registers for self-perform materials and requirements.
• Assist with tracking project budgets, costs, labor, and production.
• Assist the Project Manager with developing and maintaining schedules.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent on labor, materials, and production goals.
• Organize and review labor and material invoices for content and accuracy.
• Assist with monthly pay applications and Project Status Reports (PSRs).
• Support safety, quality, and production monitoring programs.
