Job summary

Berg Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Houston area to coordinate drywall and steel stud framing construction, ensuring alignment with plans and specs. You will oversee scope, schedule, safety, and quality on assigned projects, working with the Senior Project Manager for contracts and budgets.

The role requires construction PM experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across site visits and client meetings. Travel up to 50% is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer or related role.
• Commercial construction project management background.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex construction documents (blueprints).
• Estimating experience utilizing OST/QuickBid to price changes to contract documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and customers.
• Basic presentation skills to represent information in a group setting.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build relationships in their designated market.
• Full review of the contract with the Senior Project Manager before submitting it for sign-off.
• Lead pre-construction meetings to ensure scope, safety, quality and production goals.
• Weekly job walks to monitor site activities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of project(s) and finances.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients; ensure proactive communication throughout the project.
