Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a detailed Self-Perform Work (SPW) cost estimator to support project planning, bidding and operations. You will apply technical knowledge of materials, labor and production methods to evaluate SPW scopes across multiple trades while collaborating with project, field and operations teams to reflect current market conditions and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, or cost analysis for self-perform or construction projects.
• Certifications and Licenses: None required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed Self-Perform Work (SPW) cost estimates supporting project planning, bidding, and decision-making.
• Analyzes drawings, models, and specs to validate quantities, identify risks, and confirm scope.
• Collaborates with field leaders, engineers, and project teams to verify production rates and align estimates with plans.
• Coordinates with procurement to evaluate vendor pricing and level bids for SPW work.
• Develops variance analyses and cost studies to support value engineering and constructability discussions.
• Maintains historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and supports scheduling alignment.
