Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Omaha, NE is seeking a Receiving/Stock Clerk to support store operations. You will label, stock and inventory merchandise, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain safe, clean, organized receiving areas.

You will monitor temperatures, assist with shipping/receiving, report discrepancies, and uphold food safety standards while delivering reliable service to customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity (including Computer Assisted Ordering).
• Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received.
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
• Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
