Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a New College Grad Dry Etch Process Engineer in Boise, Idaho. You will contribute to developing, optimizing, and sustaining dry etch processes in a brand-new fabrication environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve yield and productivity.

The role emphasizes applying engineering fundamentals, data analytics, and emerging AI-assisted workflows to monitor processes and enhance decision-making in semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field relevant to semiconductor processing.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or co-op experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and optimization of dry etch processes to improve product performance, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Analyze process and manufacturing data to identify trends, solve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with process integration, equipment, manufacturing, and quality teams to support production goals and process improvements.
• Participate in process qualifications, experiments, and continuous improvement projects using statistical and engineering methodologies.
• Apply data analytics and explore AI-Assisted workflows to enhance process monitoring and decision-making.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related STEM field
