Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Dry Etch Process Development Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in semiconductor etch processes within a collaborative R&D environment.

Under experienced engineers, you will contribute to process development, experimentation, data analysis, and technology innovation, culminating in presenting results to engineering and leadership teams. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in materials science, chemical, electrical, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry or related field.
• Must remain enrolled as a student during internship.
• Knowledge of dry etch processing, plasma physics, or related fabrication tech.
• Experience with experimental design, statistics, and data interpretation.
• Experience with programming, scripting, data analytics, or AI to support analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop solutions for future memory technologies and dry etch process development.
• Design, run, and analyze experiments to optimize dry etch processes and product performance.
• Perform statistical analysis of development and pilot data to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with process, equipment, and multi-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to improve data analysis and engineering workflows.
