Job summary

Micron Technology invites a Process Pathfinding Dry Etch Intern to contribute to cutting-edge memory technology development. You will work with engineers to investigate dry etching processes and gain hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment and characterization methods.

You will engage in experiments, data analysis, and AI-assisted analytics to drive process improvements while developing expertise in semiconductor technology development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a technical field with strong lab/experimental background.
• Graduation date after August 1, 2027.
• Knowledge of vacuum, RF/plasma science, chemistry or semiconductor processing through coursework or research.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, statistics, or lab-based research.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fundamental research and process development for next-generation memory technologies.
• Collaborate to develop and optimize dry etch processes meeting performance requirements.
• Develop experiments to understand process limitations and evaluate new technologies.
• Apply analytical methods to characterize performance and solve engineering challenges.
• Use AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve data analysis and decision-making.
