Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate the Discovery Services portfolio across US markets. You will build strategic partnerships, manage key accounts, and collaborate with scientific and commercial teams to drive revenue.

The role requires strong pharma industry network, travel up to 20%, and ability to work autonomously to expand the client base, with a focus on the Boston/Cambridge ecosystem and other strategic regions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology or Life Science with sales experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery process.
• Experience in pharmaceutical market trends to drive regional growth.
• Ability to discuss scientific services with researchers and translate into solutions.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Experience growing existing accounts and generating new opportunities.
• Territory growth strategy experience.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Existing relationships within the Boston/Cambridge biotech/pharma ecosystem valued.
• Exceptional business development, organization, negotiation and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and occasional international travel.
• Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for sales of Eurofins Discovery services meeting sales and revenue growth targets.
• Develop and maintain high level client relationships through regular face-to-face meetings.
• Provide recommendations and feedback for business development and operational strategy.
• Work with sales team and operations to drive business.
• Maintain a high level of technical competence and use it to drive business and customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback and analysis to operations to improve marketing strategies.
• Travel approximately 10-20% outside the territory.
• Use a CRM to log client meetings and opportunities.
• Input leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities into the CRM and maintain accuracy.
• Create and update key account plans in the CRM for quarterly reviews.
• Provide monthly forecast of business by the due date.
