Job summary

Eurofins USA Discovery Services is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Southeast US territory to drive sales of our drug discovery portfolio. You will engage with US clients, build relationships, and develop territory plans to achieve aggressive targets.

This role requires strong presentation skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position involves travel, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth within the Eurofins Discovery group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience with strong understanding of drug discovery and discovery chemistry; must reside in the assigned territory.
• Minimum education: B.S. in chemistry or pharmacology or related discipline; experience in drug discovery products/services; strong knowledge of drug discovery process.
• Understanding of CRO market and ability to analyze global trends to drive regional business development.
• Strong presentation skills and collaborative work with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to travel internationally in limited capacity (training and customer audits).
• Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Sell Eurofins Discovery portfolio (chemistry, pharmacology products/services) within the territory to hit regional sales targets.
• Understand the drug discovery process to effectively sell to US clients.
• Prospect and build relationships with client personas needing drug discovery services.
• Develop and support client relationships through frequent meetings.
• Provide recommendations to operational strategy to meet client needs.
• Create territory and regional business plans and update regularly.
• Report competitor activities in region and globally.
• Provide monthly performance reports against defined metrics.
• Maintain and update CRM data.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to support business and gain knowledge.
• Promote technical competence of chemistry services for drug discovery and use knowledge to hit targets.
• Promote customer satisfaction with quick response times.
• Work with Marketing on territory strategies and promote Eurofins Discovery brand.
• Engage channels including web, ecommerce, events.
• Deliver effective client presentations and internal briefs.
• Provide feedback to improve portfolio and marketing strategies.
• Travel 30-40% within territory.
• Support sales colleagues as needed.
