Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates on their job and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Create an environment that welcomes customers and answers questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Develop and implement a department business plan with management.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory and pricing processes.
• Supervise inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Manage conflicts professionally and maintain honesty and integrity.
• Support store management with budgeting and financial reporting.
