Job summary

Ursus, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Program Coordinator for a 6‑month, part‑time contract. The role is hybrid with in‑office presence 3 days per week and shifts from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM CT, Monday through Friday.

You will support daily admin tasks, schedule testing, and manage the random pool under program protocols. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong Microsoft/Google skills, and solid attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related administrative or coordination experience.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Works well independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Uses tact and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive employee/contractor information.
• Comfortable following established processes and escalating issues appropriately.
• Working Conditions: Minimal travel (occasional, if any).

Responsibilities

• Assists with managing the random testing pool for drivers
• Helps maintain accurate and current pool lists
• Supports the random selection process and tracks selection results
• Coordinates drug and alcohol testing appointments
• Notifies selected drivers and supervisors of testing requirements per program protocols
• Maintains a testing calendar/tracker of scheduled, completed, and outstanding tests
• Provides general administrative support for the Drug & Alcohol Program
• Assists with routine reporting on pool status and testing completion rates
• Helps prepare materials for required trainings
