Job summary

Edko, LLC is seeking visual observer (VO) candidates to aid our Pilot staff in UAV/drone operations. A background in forestry, arboriculture, experience with UAVs or a related field is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities include performing herbicide applications when drone flights are unfavorable, and traveling for extended periods with lodging/meals covered by the company. Seasonal positions could become permanent, with company vehicle and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Background in forestry or arboriculture beneficial but not required.
• Valid Driver License with clean driving record required.
• Ability to travel and stay away from home for extended periods.
• Experience with UAVs or related fields preferred.

Job description

Edko, LLC is seeking visual observer (VO) candidates to aid our Pilot staff in UAV/drone operations. Visual Observers will participate in all aspects of drone missions and will also be required to perform herbicide applications when the conditions are unfavorable for drone flight.

• Ability to use a laptop, radio communications and mobile apps.
• Valid Driver License with a clean driving record is required.
• The ability to work independently for long hours and out of town with extended overnight travel.
• Vegetation management experience, tree knowledge and ID skills or drone experience a Plus.
