Job summary

Seneca is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our production team, responsible for final assembly, wiring, and functional testing of complex UAV systems built for wildfire suppression and mission-critical applications. The role blends hands-on electromechanical assembly with rigorous testing to ensure flight-ready performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on electrical/electromechanical assembly experience in UAV/robotics/aerospace
• Experience with UAV/robotics platforms build, integration, test or repair
• Proficient soldering (through-hole and SMT) to industry standards
• Strong crimping and wire harness fabrication skills across connectors and gauges
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics and assembly drawings
• Proficient with test equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies

Responsibilities

• Perform final electronics assembly and wiring harnessing for UAV systems
• Solder and rework components to high workmanship standards
• Crimp and terminate connectors for power and signal wiring
• Inspect and troubleshoot PCBs/PCBAs
• Conduct functional and system-level testing of assemblies
• Document test results and deviations per quality procedures
• Collaborate with engineering on design-for-assembly/test feedback
• Maintain calibration and organization of tools/workstations
• Follow ESD-safe handling and safety procedures
• Support root-cause analysis for recurring issues
