Job summary

Wing is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Mechanical Engineer Team in Palo Alto, CA. You will help design, prototype, and refine aircraft hardware through all design phases, from initial concept to manufacturing release.

You'll own projects, perform CAD work, run analyses, test prototypes, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Electrical, and UX teams to deliver simple, elegant solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• Experience with CAD, FEA, and rapid prototyping for mechanical components.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to aircraft design through all design-cycle stages from concept to release.
• Prototype components, test ideas, and iterate with cross-functional teams.
• Create CAD models for manufacturing-ready parts and perform analyses.
• Develop and execute test plans; use hand calculations and FEA for robustness.
• Document findings, generate test reports, and present design decisions.
