Job summary

Wing is offering a 12-week paid summer internship in Palo Alto, CA for a Hardware Reliability Intern to join our Hardware Reliability team. You will evaluate aircraft hardware reliability, develop tests, and perform failure analysis to improve drone and ground infrastructure.

This role requires pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS or Engineering, with Python experience, lab hands-on work, and ability to design and follow test plans.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, engineering, or related field, graduating between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.

Responsibilities

• Design test fixtures to stress, validate, and characterize aircraft subsystems under various environmental conditions.
• Select, build, and maintain data acquisition (DAQ) systems and automated test scripts.
• Plan and execute testing for aircraft propulsion, camera, communications and power delivery systems.
• Help evaluate field failures and manufacturing issues through analysis and DOE.
• Collecting and analyze field & test data for root cause analysis or failure replication.
• Assess failure modes and create FMEAs to influence potential design improvements.
• Produce procedures to reliably execute test plans.
