Wing invites a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to Palo Alto, CA, to help develop manufacturing lines and processes for its autonomous drone delivery fleet. You will collaborate with the manufacturing lab and multidisciplinary teams on a high-impact summer project that touches DFA/DFM, CAD automation concepts, and testing.

Eligible candidates are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in ME/Manufacturing/EE, graduating 2027–2028, with hands-on prototyping experience and programming skills in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong proficiency in 3D parametric CAD modeling (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Onshape).
• Foundational understanding of DFA/DFM principles, basic mechanical mechanisms, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Hands-on prototyping experience (3D printing, machine shop tools, electro‑mechanical assembly, or robotics clubs/projects).
• Project experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, C++).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate hardware assemblies using DFA/DFM principles and design CAD/prototype automation concepts for key assembly stations.
• Validate concepts through hands-on testing to reduce station cycle time, eliminate bottlenecks, and lower costs.
