Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC seeks a mechanical engineer to own the full lifecycle of drone hardware, from concept through manufacture, focusing on ruggedized enclosures and drone integration. This role offers fast prototyping with in-house 3D printing, field testing opportunities, and collaboration with a compact hardware team to move designs from idea to field-ready systems.

You will design Dongle Cases, Bridge Boxes, drone attachments, and swarm packaging configurations to protect equipment

Qualifications

• Experience designing ruggedized enclosures for drones.
• Prototyping and testing hardware with rapid iteration.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee manufacture of Dongle Cases, Bridge Boxes, and other ruggedized electronic enclosures
• Specify, source, and customize swarm packaging solutions including Pelican cases and precision foam inserts
• Design, test, and manufacture drone attachments and physical modifications, from simple brackets to actuated mechanisms
• Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanism design, prototyping, and field validation
