Job summary

DoorDash Labs in Bay Point, CA is seeking a UAS Flight Test Operator I/II to join a hands-on field testing team validating new drone platforms. You will execute test flights, perform pre/post-flight checks, and collaborate with engineering and flight leads to ensure safety and precision in testing.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with PX4/ArduPilot flight stacks, fly in varied environments, and contribute to future autonomous aerial systems at a fast-paced, collaborative pace.

Qualifications

• Hold a Part 107 certification and have substantial flight hours.
• Experience in flight testing and drone operation in field environments.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and safe flight practices.
• Familiar with PX4, ArduPilot, Auterion or Herelink-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute structured drone test flights in manual and autonomous modes.
• Perform pre- and post-flight checks and manage batteries and equipment.
• Operate in varied field environments with exposure to weather.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to surface observations and iterate improvements.
• Be flexible with schedules and travel up to ~20%.
