Job summary

DoorDash Labs seeks a highly skilled FPV Pilot for hands-on drone testing at our Bay Point, CA facility. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, performing acro-mode flights and data-driven evaluations to support next‑gen UAS development.

Collaborate with systems engineers, maintain logs, ensure safety compliance, and help validate PX4, ArduPilot, Auterion, and Herelink systems. This on-site role emphasizes practical flight testing and rigorous engineering feedback.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate; verified.
• 100+ hours of FPV flight time.
• 1+ year acro mode flight experience under VLOS.
• Demonstrated multi-rotor UAS operations experience.
• Proven FPV background with precise manual control.
• Knowledge of FAA small UAS regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate flight data into insights.
• Strong situational awareness and test-site safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Operate small to mid-size UAS in acro mode within VLOS.
• Conduct test flights, calibration routines, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to provide data-driven feedback.
• Maintain detailed flight logs and monitor aircraft condition.
• Support safety processes per FAA Part 107 and internal procedures.
• Participate in system validation with PX4, ArduPilot, Auterion, Herelink.
