Job summary

Flytrex Inc. seeks an Autonomous Flight Systems Field Engineer to support R&D and operational testing of its end-to-end drone delivery system.

This on-site role blends field flight ops with lab engineering to configure, test, and troubleshoot autonomous flight systems at the Flight Test Facility, with emphasis on CFR 14 Part 107 compliance and safety. The candidate will work across hardware-in-the-loop testing, sensor calibration, and payload integration, ensuring regulatory adherence and

Qualifications

FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
Hands-on experience with ArduPilot or similar flight controllers.
Proficiency with Mission Planner and telemetry review.
Experience with UAS integration and hardware testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

Configure, tune, and validate Flytrex flight controllers and hardware.
Operate flight control software for mission planning and data analysis.
Perform systems integration and hardware testing, including HIL/SIL where applicable.
Conduct R&D flight testing following procedures and checklists.
Maintain aircraft readiness and document flight activity and test results.
Ensure CFR 14 Part 107 compliance and safety protocols.
Contribute to procedure design and continuous improvement tasks.
