Job summary

Flytrex Inc. is seeking an Autonomous Flight Systems Field Engineer to support the development and operational testing of its drone delivery system in Fort Worth, TX. This on-site role blends field flight operations with lab work, focusing on configuration, testing, and safety compliance.

The position requires CFR 14 Part 107 knowledge, ArduPilot expertise, and hands-on experience with autonomous flight systems. Local travel is expected, and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
• Hands-on experience with ArduPilot or similar flight controllers including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Mission Planner for mission planning and telemetry review.
• Experience with UAS integration, sensor calibration, and test protocol execution.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills; ability to work in field and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, tune, and validate flight controllers and supporting hardware.
• Operate flight control software for mission planning, telemetry review, and data analysis.
• Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing and sensor calibration.
• Execute R&D and flight testing following strict procedures and checklists.
• Maintain flight systems and prepare daily flight logs and test reports.
