Job summary

TSP talent is seeking a Driver Training Manager for Paratransit & Transit in Irvine, CA. The role leads the hiring, onboarding, and training of vehicle operators and covers both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction on defensive driving, passenger assistance, ADA/FTA requirements, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating operator training, maintaining training records, and ensuring readiness while collaborating with operations and safety leadership to meet regulatory

Qualifications

Strong understanding of defensive driving, ADA/FTA compliance, emergency procedures, and passenger assistance.
Ability to train effectively and document outcomes.
Strong coordination and leadership skills in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee recruitment support, onboarding, and operator training programs.
Provide and coordinate classroom and in-vehicle coaching.
Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and operator readiness.
Coordinate with operations and safety leadership to support compliance.
Support agency safety and regulatory requirements for paratransit/transit services.
Step in to perform operator, safety, or road supervisor duties when needed.
