Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee in Ocala, FL. This role starts with paid training at $20.25 per hour and progresses to an annual salary of $65,000 to $80,000 after training.

You will learn essential driving duties, safety rules, and delivery procedures while gaining experience in warehouse operations. From day one, you qualify for medical, dental, vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance, plus holidays, vacation, and sick leave accrual.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and deliver all products.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position and attach trailer.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT reports.
• Use Driver Delivery Handheld to document deliveries and temps.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn routes and regulations.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT rules.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
