McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee in the Jessup, PA area. This role trains toward a Class A CDL, with starting pay of $24.50 per hour while in training and a path to Route Ready earnings of $75K–$90K annually upon progression.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) and document deliveries and temperatures.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and maneuvers.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product.
• Other duties as assigned.
