Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee (No CDL required) to learn essential driving duties, distribution of products, and safety compliance while gaining exposure to warehouse operations.

Starting pay during training is $24.50–$26.25 per hour, with potential to earn $75K–$90K after training; day-one benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance, along with holidays and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and deliver all products for McLane customers
• Read, write, and understand English sufficiently to perform tasks safely and accurately

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and secure loads
• Drive in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and document results
• Maintain accurate delivery receipts and temperatures in DDH/PeopleNet
• Assist with unloading and delivering products to customer premises
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures
