Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn essential driving functions, including distribution to customer locations and exposure to warehouse operations. The trainee will develop skills under a Driver Trainer, with a clear path to becoming a licensed McLane Driver.

The role offers paid training at $24.25 per hour and, after training, potential annual earnings between $75,000 and $110,000. Day one benefits, healthcare options, vacation and holidays, and other programs support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and deliver all products.
• Read, write and understand English sufficiently for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move tractor to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely per regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT reports.
• Document deliveries with DDH and record temperatures and exceptions.
• Learn driving regulations and vehicle handling from trainer.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT requirements.
• Assist with unloading and delivering to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
