McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn essential duties in distribution, gaining exposure to warehouse and operations as part of the developmental path to becoming a McLane Driver.

You will master handling, delivering, and securing products, while training under a Driver Trainer to understand trucking regulations and safe vehicle operation. Competitive pay starts during the yard phase with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and understand English to perform job-related tasks safely.

Responsabilités

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) and document deliveries and temperatures.
• Train with Driver Trainer on routes and vehicle operations.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading trailer and delivering product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
