Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Driver Trainee to join its Driver Training Program while performing the duties of a Freight Handler. You will complete 8 hours behind the wheel and 25 hours of yard training, under observation, to prepare for a CDL A with Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles-Triples endorsements.

The role involves loading/unloading freight, performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining required records, and delivering shipments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass background check and MVR.
• Must have at least 6 months of driving experience (personal vehicle acceptable).
• Willing to obtain CDL A with Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight.
• Inspect and prepare vehicle for trips.
• Maintain required records (logs, inspections).
• Ensure shipping and paperwork accompany shipments.
