Southeastern Freight Lines in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Driver Trainee who will participate in our Driver Training Program while performing Freight Handler duties. Training includes 8 hours behind the wheel and 25 hours of yard training, observed by experienced mentors.
Upon completion, individuals may transition to a full Driver role. Pay ranges from $33.35 to $34.50 per hour, with first shift offered. The company emphasizes safety, teamwork, and long-term career growth in logistics.
As a Driver Trainee, you will participate in the Driver Training Program while performing the duties of a Freight Handler on a regular basis. To complete the program, you must complete 8 hours behind the wheel of a Company truck and 25 hours of yard training, while being observed/trained. Yard training includes training on pre-trip inspections, proper use of control, hooking/unhooking, and backing. Current Company Freight Handler associates are selected for the training program based on exceptional job performance and a desire to become a Driver.
Pay: $33.35-$34.50 Per Hour (pay may vary based on location)
