Job summary

MTM Transit in Tracy, California is hiring Full Time CDL Drivers. You will provide safe, reliable transportation, assist passengers, and ensure on-time pick-ups and drop-offs. Training is provided, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision, plus PTO and a 401(k) match.

Candidates must have a California Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements and pass DOT and background checks. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with mobility devices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Clear background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.

MTM Transit in partnership with the City of Tracy is looking for Full Time CDL Drivers to join our team in Tracy, California . We currently have training classes that start every couple of weeks - no need to wait to start your new career!

What You'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid California Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements
• No more than 6 points on driving record within the last 4 years
• No misdemeanor convictions
• No DWI/DUI convictions
• No failure to appear charges
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record check
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
