Job summary

White Cap Management LLC is seeking a CDL A Driver to join our team in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves delivering products to customer jobsites with a tractor-trailer or straight truck and adhering to DOT safety requirements. You may assist with loading and paperwork while maintaining accurate manifests.

Preferred candidates hold a Hazmat certification, at least two years of commercial driving experience, and a forklift certification. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Hazmat certification required.
• Two years of FMCSA/DOT-compliant commercial driving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck over 26,000 lb GVW.
• Possibly unload shipments with truck-mounted forklift like Moffett or Piggyback.
• Follow DOT regulations and maintain a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ensure manifests and all paperwork are accurate and complete.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or operations manager.

A CDL A Driver at White Cap...

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a GVW over 26,000 pounds.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.
• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Has a Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification
• Spanish language proficiency

Pay Range

$24.40-$37.00 Hourly
