Job summary

MTM Transit is hiring Full Time & Part Time Non-CDL Drivers for Sebring, FL. The role focuses on safe, reliable transportation with a strong emphasis on customer service and community impact. Training is provided, with overtime, holidays, PTO, and a solid benefits package.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Florida license, and the ability to pass DOT screenings. Join MTM Transit to make a difference in the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 21+ years old.
• Valid Florida driver license or ability to obtain one.
• No license suspensions/revocations for moving violations in last 3 years.
• No more than five traffic violations in past 12 months.
• No serious traffic violations or DUI/DWI in last 5/10 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Criminal background check required.
• U.S. work authorization.
• Resume with at least 10 years of work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills.
• Deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading.
• Assist with mobility devices and safety equipment as required.
• Ensure on-time pickup and drop-off.
• Be sensitive to needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and safety inspections; document as required.
• Complete paperwork as required and use tablets/devices as needed.

MTM Transit , in partnership with Heartland Rides, is looking for both Full Time & Part Time, Non - CDL Drivers to join our team in Sebring, FL . We currently have training classes that start regularly!

What you'll need:

• Experience, Education & Certifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain
• No driver's license suspensions/revocations for moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than five traffic violation points in the past 12 months
• No serious traffic violations including reckless driving in the last 5 years
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
