Job summary

Warren Transport, Inc. is seeking a Safety Training Specialist to promote safety culture and ensure contractor drivers operate safely. This role monitors performance via telematics, coaches on compliance, and develops driver education programs in partnership with operations.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years in driver training, knowledge of DOT regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to travel occasionally and work outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years in driver training or facilitation.
• Current or past Class A CDL preferred for experiential insight.
• Strong knowledge of DOT compliance regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with independent contractor drivers under Warren Transport.
• Lead Lytx telematics coaching, feedback, and reporting; review data daily.
• Monitor device health and camera performance.
• Facilitate training in safety, telematics, securement, and FMCSA rules.
• Create training materials using LUMA.
• Develop training content from safety trends.
• Deliver post-classroom training with drivers.
• Coordinate driver recognition programs and safety awards.
• Support securement programs and manage ranking for open deck.
• Advise on speed alerts, dash cam triggers, and event reporting.
• Align decisions with Warren Transport values.
• Occasional after-hours work and infrequent travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
