Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Driver Trainer to lead development, training, and evaluation of driving personnel to ensure safety and superior customer service.

The role includes travel to multiple Sunstate locations and a schedule from Monday to Friday, with a typical 7AM-4PM alignment. Requirements include 5 years driving experience, strong safety record, CDL, and the ability to coach and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a professional Sunstate Driver.
• Solid safety record and adherence to safety culture.
• Knowledge and experience with DriveCam and coaching.
• Completion of professional Driving Course.
• Excellent driving history and defensive driving skills.
• Willingness to travel to Sunstate locations and seminars.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Fluency in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Sunstate locations to evaluate and provide hands-on training.
• Develop and implement the Driver development program.
• Enforce Sunstate standards and best practices to maintain quality service.
• Collaborate with local management to assess driving skills and set goals.
• Support safety training program rollout and enforcement.
• Provide coaching to Drivers and assist with career development.
• Perform on-site training and evaluations as needed.
