Job summary

Foodliner, a McCoy Group trucking division, is seeking a Driver Safety Manager in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on safety program administration, incident review, and data-driven coaching for drivers and terminals.

You’ll work with the On-Board Camera system, enforce safety policies, and help maintain compliance across fleets. The position requires strong computer skills, multitasking ability, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage truck camera system and review footage for safety incidents.
• Provide timely feedback to management on unsafe activity.
• Maintain and audit incident records and events.
• Analyze data to identify coaching opportunities for drivers.
• Oversee On-Board Camera system incentives and reporting accuracy.
• Answer safety-related questions from drivers and terminals (DOT Hours of Service).
• Process field paperwork, audit documents, and file accordingly.
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and electronic records.
• Collaborate, educate, train, and reinforce Hours of Service rules with managers and drivers.
• Coordinate Infiniti computer-based training assignments to ensure safety compliance.
• Assist retention activities with engagement calls as assigned.
• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and professional demeanor.

Foodliner has an opening for a Driver Safety Manager at our corporate office in Dubuque, Iowa.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage truck cameras, use footage to identify safety-related incidents
• Provide immediate feedback to management on unsafe activity
• Maintain records of events/activity for future reference
• Analyze data to find coaching opportunities
• Manage On-Board Camera system Incentive program/reports to ensure accuracy
• Answer driver and terminal calls for safety-related questions, including DOT Hours of Service
• Process paperwork from the field, audit paperwork, communicate and file accordingly
• Maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and various electronic records
• Communicate, collaborate, educate, train, retrain, and help manage Hours of Service rules/regulations with Managers and Drivers
• Assist, assign, manage, and track Infiniti (computer-based training) assignments to ensure safety compliance
• Assist Retention activities with engagement calls as needed/assigned
• Exemplify a positive, “can do” attitude, honestly/integrity, and professional demeanor during employee interaction
• Any other job duties as may be delegated by supervisor or other management team members

Qualifications:

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Must be accurate with information and reporting
• Must be organized and possess excellent time management skills
• Adherence to confidentiality policy
• Exceptional customer service and human relations skills (Phone, Email, and In-Person)
• Impeccable and timely follow through
• Experience in transportation, a plus, but not a requirement
