Job summary

MTM Transit in Reno, NV is hiring Full Time, Non-CDL Drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation for passengers including older adults and individuals with disabilities. Training classes commence biweekly; benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid training, holidays and PTO, plus a 401(k) match.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, are 21+, possess a Nevada Class C license or can obtain within 3 months, and pass DOT physicals and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Nevada Class C driver license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• No DUI/DWI convictions in any recent period.
• No suspensions or at-fault accidents in last 3 years.
• Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen; background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving to ensure passenger safety.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading from vehicle.
• Assist with mobility device and securement as required for safety.
• Ensure on-time pickup and drop-off for customers.

What will your job look like? MTM Transit, in partnership with the RTC Access & Flexride, is looking for Full Time, Non-CDL Drivers to join our team in Reno, NV. We currently have training classes that start every two weeks! Why make the move to MTM Transit? What you'll need:

• Experience, Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license or ability obtain within 3 months of hire
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• No suspensions or at fault accidents in the last 3 years
• No Major moving violations within the past 3 years
• Four or more minor moving violations within the past 3 years will be reviewed
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record check
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
