Job summary

NFI is seeking a Driver Recruiter in the United States to build a pipeline of experienced CDL candidates. You will source drivers through military contacts, schools, job fairs, and industry events, while promoting NFI’s compensation and benefits packages.

You will maintain applicant data in TenStreet ATS, collaborate with Hiring Managers, and travel as needed to recruit across local markets. This role emphasizes relationship-building, outreach, and high-volume candidate screening.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS preferred or HS diploma with recruiting or sales experience.
  • 1–2 years professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources or Recruiting (including internships).
  • Outside sales experience or experience in Transportation or Logistics industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the local CDL labor market, and identify effective market-specific sourcing tools
  • Know where and how to reach drivers and maintain relationships with those drivers from introduction through hire
  • Source, recruit, screen, and interview experienced driver candidates using sales, research, and networking skills
  • Maintain all applicant and interview data in TenStreet ATS
  • Sell NFI’s compensation and benefits package to candidates
  • Coordinate and attend recruiting events at driving schools, job fairs, local communities, industry venues, etc.
  • Assist candidates in completing their employment applications and ensure paperwork is sent to Processing Team
  • Work with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs
  • Partner with operations management on recruiting activities
  • Perform other special projects as assigned

The Driver Recruiter’s primary responsibility will be to build and develop a pipeline of experienced CDL candidates for NFI. Accountable for sourcing and recruiting activities including: establishing and maintaining relationships by working with military contacts, employment offices, truck driving schools, and technical colleges; conducting job fairs and seminars; attending trade shows (truck shows); and developing other viable recruiting sources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the local CDL labor market, and identify effective market-specific sourcing tools
  • Know where and how to reach drivers and maintain relationships with those drivers from the point of introduction through hire
  • Source, recruit, screen, and interview experienced driver candidates, utilizing sales, research, and networking skills, including cold calling, e-mail, computer databases, and Internet recruiting resources
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the TenStreet applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Sell NFI’s compensation and benefits package to those candidates
  • Coordinate and attend recruiting events at driving schools, job fairs, local communities, industry venues, etc.
  • Assist qualified candidates in completing their employment applications, and ensure all necessary paperwork is sent to the Processing Team
  • Work with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs

Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree preferred; or high school diploma with demonstrated pro-active recruiting or sales experience
  • 1-2 years professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources or Recruiting (including internships)
  • Outside sales experience or experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry a plus
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of Internet candidate data mining
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with recruiting technologies a plus
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements a plus
  • Ability to travel

We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $46,082.40 - $61,443.20. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
