Essential Job Functions
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for Company Drivers and Independent Contractors, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting qualified candidates for hire.
- Develop and maintain an active pipeline of qualified driver candidates through Tenstreet, referrals, networking, social media, job boards, recruiting events, cold calling, and other sourcing methods.
- Partner with the Driver Recruiting Manager, Terminal Managers, and Operations leadership to understand hiring priorities and support staffing needs across assigned locations.
- Conduct candidate interviews to assess qualifications, driving experience, safety history, and overall fit for Hub Group opportunities.
- Effectively communicate job expectations, compensation, benefits, equipment, routes, and Hub Group's employment value proposition to prospective drivers.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process, providing timely updates, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Coordinator to facilitate background screening, DOT qualification requirements, onboarding activities, and pre-employment documentation.
- Ensure all recruiting activities are conducted in compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and applicable employment laws.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and pipeline information within Tenstreet and other recruiting systems.
- Participate in recruiting events, job fairs, industry networking opportunities, and other sourcing initiatives to attract qualified drivers.
- Monitor recruiting activity and individual performance metrics, providing timely updates on hiring progress and candidate pipelines.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with drivers, industry contacts, and referral sources to support ongoing recruiting efforts.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- Two (2) or more years of DOT driver recruiting experience within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Extensive knowledge of DOT regulations, driver qualification requirements, CDL classifications, and transportation recruiting practices.
- Experience managing high-volume recruiting activities and multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Experience operating a high-volume call center.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems; Tenstreet experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting both Company Drivers and Independent Contractors.
- Experience supporting multi‑site or regional recruiting operations.
- Previous experience utilizing Tenstreet or similar transportation recruiting platforms.
- Knowledge of transportation industry recruiting trends and best practices.
Salary Range
Up to $75,000/year base salary plus eligibility for additional incentive program
