Job summary

TP Trucking & Logistics in Pasadena, TX is seeking an energetic Recruiter to manage driver recruitment for our Texas and Georgia locations. You will source and evaluate Class A, flatbed drivers and handle all pre-hire requirements.

You will partner with Sales, Dispatch, Marketing, and Safety teams to optimize sourcing, screening, and hiring in a fast-paced trucking environment. Occasional travel to events may be required.

Qualifications

• The Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of the driver recruitment process.
• Identifying, sourcing, and recruiting qualified Class A, flatbed drivers.

Responsibilities

• Sources driver candidates using networking, advertising, social media, career events, etc.
• Collaborates with Sales and Dispatch teams to saturate target areas.
• Proactively identifies and contacts potential candidates and follows up as needed.
• Reviews applications and conducts interviews.
• Maintains understanding of the local driver labor market through external research.
• Develops and maintains relationships with third parties and outside agencies.
• Develops relationships with drivers through various sources, online and in person.
• Works with Marketing and 3rd party providers to recruit drivers via multiple channels.
• Coordinates with Safety Coordinator and Driver Supervisor for risk assessments.
• Handles pre-hire verification requirements including background checks, CDL/MVR reviews, drug testing, and DOT physicals.
• Occasional travel may be required for career events and job fairs.

POSITION SUMMARY

TP Trucking & Logistics is looking for an energetic candidate to fill the position of Recruiter. This position will recruit from TP Trucking’s Pasadena, TX office for Drivers for our Texas and Georgia locations. The Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of the driver recruitment process, including but not limited to identifying, sourcing, and recruiting qualified Class A, flatbed drivers.

MAJOR TASKS

• Sources driver candidates using a variety of recruiting methods such as networking, advertising, social media, career events, etc.


• Collaborates with Sales and Dispatch teams to identify and promote maximum saturation in target areas.


• Proactively identifies and contacts potential candidates, discusses opportunities, evaluates candidates’ interest in working for TP Trucking. Periodically follows up with potential candidates regarding changes in interest and availability.


• Reviews applications and conducts interviews.


• Regularly conducts external research and calls on network contacts to maintain full understanding of the local driver labor market.


• Develops and maintains relationships with third parties and outside agencies to source driver candidates.


• Develops and maintains relationships with drivers through a variety of sources, electronically and in person.


• Works closely with the TP Marketing department and 3rd party providers to utilize all avenues to recruit drivers (website, social media, radio, TV, etc.).


• Works with the Trucking Safety Coordinator and Driver Supervisor to conduct risk assessments of driver candidates.


• Responsible for pre-hire verification requirements, including background checks, CDL/MVR reviews, drug testing and DOT physicals.


• Occasional travel may be required to attend career events and job fairs, to meet with other Timber Products’ staff, etc.
