Job summary

P&S Transportation in Birmingham, AL is seeking a detail-oriented Driver Qualifications Processor to move candidates through the hiring process in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company requirements. You will work closely with recruiters, vendors, and driver candidates to review qualifications, collect documentation, and keep onboarding on track.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and communicates effectively by phone and email.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a high-volume transportation, recruiting, or HR environment is preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review driver applicants' qualifications and determine initial eligibility.
• Review work history, safety records, and overall fit via phone and email.
• Apply DOT, FMCSA, and company requirements to qualify candidates consistently.
• Collect and verify required documentation to support onboarding.
• Coordinate travel for new drivers to centralized training and orientation.
• Assist onboarding by confirming receipt of DOT and company documents.
• Track post-offer requirements such as medical exams and drug screens; follow up with vendors.
• Maintain accurate driver files and escalate concerns when needed.
• Provide professional, courteous service to candidates and partners throughout the process.
