Job summary

MTM Transit currently seeks Drivers to join our team in Pinal County, AZ with weekly training classes starting soon. You will provide safe, reliable non-emergency transportation and assist passengers, including loading/unloading and mobility device handling.

A strong safety mindset and excellent communication are essential. The role offers an on-site paid training program in Phoenix, a company vehicle with working A/C, and competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license.
• Minimum of 5 years driving history.
• Pass criminal background check and motor vehicle record.
• DOT physical if over 65 and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading.
• Assist with mobility device and securement for safety protocols.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Document as required using tablets/electronic devices.

AAA is looking for Drivers to join our team in Pinal County. We currently have training classes that start every week!

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license
• Minimum of 5 years driving history
• No pending charges
• No convicted felony charges in past 7 years
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• Must pass criminal background check & motor vehicle record investigation
• Must pass a DOT physical if over the age of 65 including a pre-employment drug screening
• Valid Authorization to work in the United States

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice
• Ability to maintain a high level ofconfidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliabletransportation
• Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop-off of thecustomer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired
• Complete paperwork asrequired
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
